Not to be confused with the idea of "thrift," consignment is resale, and in our case, resale of maternity clothes. Our take on consignment means that we look for maternity clothes in near new condition, creating a world of unique maternity wardrobes with a smaller carbon footprint.

Consignment Period
The consignment period is 365 days! The consignment period begins from when an item is entered in the inventory database and not when the item is live online. The delay between entry in the inventory database and being live online can be up to 15 business days. Once the consignment period ends, unsold consigned items become the property of Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment unless you request in writing that your unsold consigned items be returned to you.
Merchandise That Does Not Sell
In the event that your item(s) does not sell within the 365 day period, your unsold items will become the property of Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment, unless you request that the unsold items be returned to you prior to the expiration of your consignment contract agreement.
Unsuitable Items For Sale
Unsuitable items for sale are items that do not meet Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment's garment selection process. Unsuitable items for sale become the property of Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment unless you request that any unsuitable item be returned to you at the time of your consignment registration. Our goal is to provide high-quality maternity clothes for our guests; this is the basis for our selection guidelines.
Returned Items Fee
If you request that Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment return your unsuitable item(s) for sale or the return of your unsold consigned item(s) you will be assessed a $25.00 processing and postage fee assessed to your consignment account.
Consigned Clothes May Be Borrowed By Clothesline Club Members
Any gently used consigned item with Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment may be borrowed by Clothesline Club Members.
Responsibility of Merchandise
Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment makes their best effort to merchandise, sell and care for all consignments. However, all consignments are at the owner's risk. Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment is not responsible for loss or damage by handling, loss by theft, fire, negligent handling, accident, or any other cause.
Early Return Request Fee
Any request that Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment return consigned item(s) prior to the conclusion of the consignment period (365 days) will incur a $100 fee.
Check Processing Fee
As of January 1, 2017, a $1.00 check processing fee will be deducted from each payout.
Agreement of Terms and Conditions
By shipping your item(s) to Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment implies you agree with the terms and conditions set forth by Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment.
